There have been such attempts, like Nextbox for example. But afaik they have been all commercial failures, IMHO because basically anyone that cares enough about this stuff can build their own for a much lower price, and those that don't...
@poVoq Yeah I think this is kind of like early generation touch screen devices (such as #PDAs that were evolutionary steps towards #smartphones - The pricepoint is obviously an issue - But my experience with #BananaPi and low cost #N100 intel based hardware makes me think that we are moving toward something.
