I meant all the performative bullshit with "punishing" him, not his horrible behavior. That's near the top of the list IMHO:

Yeah sure, but he lived half a millenium ago. It's not like we can really apply anything from those times into modernity, so while he was definitely a wild one, comparing him to modern royals/politics is a bit of a stretch imo.

While that is true, I'd argue it's worse to be a nonce in Anno Domini 2025 than it probably was to be an adulterous whoremongerer and somewhat kill-crazy in the 1500's.

But yeah as far as scandals go that was a doozy.
