Bold of you to assume they don’t already have your face and that they need to be in your vicinity to scan it.

... What do you think they even have an app for.

[–] webghost0101@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

To receive a notification that someone got detected?

To be fair no where does it state this is a phone app and how it actually works.

It probably isn’t but for all I know this is someone sitting in an office with a tablet connected to all kinds of public cameras.

App used in the field

Very heavily implies a mobile device of some sort...if you can't put together the context clues, that's between you and your first grade teacher.

Well if you are going to be pedantic about it.

To receive a notification that someone got detected?

Because it does read like it’s something mobile.

To be fair no where does it state this is a phone app and how it actually works.

Because It literally doesn’t. Software on a laptop used in a van checks all boxes. App is short for “application” and not phone exclusive.

It probably isn’t but for all I know this is someone sitting in an office with a tablet connected to all kinds of public cameras.

It probably isn’t because I am just throwing out an example while only half sober.

Just put together the context clues and maybe there was no need to be so needlessly annoying.

This was a lot of excuses for you being wrong.

Like, you could look up the name of the app and not have made up all this bullshit just to justify your speaking from ignorance.

my god you are insufferable.

Your reading comprehension sucks btw my Initial comment is much more general then just this one app. You thinking I need an excuse says enough, i don’t need one to add to the conversation.

You know damn well what “mobile Fortnite” is going to get you as a search result and it’s not like 60% of results aren’t ai written and copying eachother.

If you are such an expert on this software how about you enlighten us.

Have a Happy Halloween now and stop fighting people that are presumably on your side, by which I hope to mean against automised mass surveillance.

I’m sure they have my face already, I have a drivers license. I struggle to see how they could scan my face without being somewhere in roughly the same physical proximity though

Cameras have gotten crazy good, I know the standard looking cameras in my local airport can scan faces because they were very proud of how efficiently they could detect known criminals.

Then they just send a team to arrest, formalities are over before you realise your being apprehended.

Of course an airport is a high security area but cameras are increasingly everywhere.
