Sometimes people tell me I should have gone with either Linux Mint or EndeavourOS, and otherwise don't really tell me why it's bad, just that it's bad. So far I only could find one thing, which is that their repo isn't 100% rolling for stability, and sometimes it does not guarantee stability.

Why I ditched Manjaro and came back to Mint:

  • I find the package manager clunky. Why is the flag to install something -Ss?
  • At some point I couldn’t upgrade packages anymore because they somehow got in conflict. I never bothered to find out what caused that and what the fix would’ve been. I just ran back to mommy Mint’s welcoming arms.

As someone who generally likes Arch, I feel like this isn't brought up enough. Every Arch user seems to love pacman, but I find it way clunkier to use than apt and dnf. It's like they made it cryptic on purpose.
