- No links to misinformation or commercial advertising. When you post outdated/historic articles, add the year of publication to the post title. Infographics must include a source and a year of creation; if possible, also provide a link to the source.
- Be kind to each other, and argue in good faith. Don't post direct insults nor disrespectful and condescending comments. Don't troll nor incite hatred. Don't look for novel argumentation strategies at Wikipedia's List of fallacies.
- No bigotry, sexism, racism, antisemitism, islamophobia, dehumanization of minorities, or glorification of National Socialism. We follow German law; don't question the statehood of Israel.
- Be the signal, not the noise: Strive to post insightful comments. Add "/s" when you're being sarcastic (and don't use it to break rule no. 3).

But the rich use immigrants to increase demand for housing and to increase competition for jobs.
They have also used their media to make the AfD known. Bad news are good news. They want the fight between the extreme right and everybody else so that progressive parties don't tax them out of power.
People need control of the media first. Otherwise elections come out as the rich want. Every day there are crimes and crimes committed by foreigners. Depending on how much they are reported, people will vote AfD and CxU.
Meanwhile, it's still a good idea to not vote for AfD.
Immigrants are not the reason housing prices are going up, nor that your wages are staying the same or going down, that's just not what's happening. The population of germany has been largely stagnant for decades. There is only an additional 14 million people in Germany today than there was in 1955! Only 4 million more compared to 2010! A 5% increase in the total population over 15 years is not the reason housing is up nearly 50% in the last 10 years.
Immigrants are not any part of the problem, they are the only reason Germany as a country is able to continue functioning because without immigrants coming in Germany would be closing businesses down left and right. No, the reason wages are stagnant and housing is up is ENTIRELY because the current system rewards the rich when they buy more housing at costs normal people couldn't compete it. The current system rewards the rich for squeezing their bottom line and ensuring the worker s don't see their share of the profits.
You're right the media is the battle we need to be fighting, but I want to make very clear that the CDU and AFD are not winning or gaining ground because they're right. They're successful because they sound like they're right because human nature is to fear the other group of people. They have no good ideas, they have no solutions, and we know this because they won't admit the real problem. We just watched Merz give money to military contractors, using debt he won't raise taxes on the rich to pay for, and wants to slash the societal benefits normal Germans rely on every year. They will shout immigrants, while stealing money from the pockets of real Germans, their neighbors, and their kids - all so they don't have to tax the rich and powerful because it keeps them in positions of power.
Immigrants could even be the reason to bring housing prices down if enough construction workers come and would be able to build houses. The permits are not there, for political reasons, which could be that the tension is wanted.
With a falling population, politicians would have to tear down housing to prevent rents from falling due to oversupply, which they hardly could. Then the rich couldn't increase rent, even if they paid outrageous prices for houses, because something cheap would be available.
Likewise, the closing businesses would fight for workers and rise wages to the limits of profitability.
From a workers perspective, immigrants take away that negotiation power. They are the voters, and they don't benefit from immigrants being good for the German economy.
The betrayal of the CxU is known. They have created the situation. That's why the AfD is gaining influence. What people ignore is that they are neoliberal and established by the establishnent.
It's also neoliberal if immigrants are sold to Germans as a necessary solution for their aging economy. That reduces both Germans and Immigrants to cogs in the machine.
I believe that migration would be a nonissue if we didn't have an underlying class war.
I'm pretty sure it's just bigotry. Anecdotally, I've never talked to a conservative who supports the likes of AfD for "economical reasons" who also over the course of conversation didn't start casually saying the most racist shit imaginable. And given that bigotry is the only one issue that AfD is actually honest about, I don't really believe their economic concerns, even as misguided as they are.
Nobody is using us for anything, we are people who want to live better lives (or, in a lot of cases, to just live). We're not tools of burguasee to destroy the community, we're not tools of international jew to steal all your precious god given housing, we're not vermins used by illuminaty to eat your babies and steal your women.
You are also used to vote for parties and to create business for brands. Individuals are free but groups are managed.
Look at how Ukraine refugees are treated compared to other refugees. Not everybody is equal, there are agendas.
Hostilities or even lack of respect or decency towards individuals is not acceptable. But it's important to discuss what is happening to improve the situation for everybody. E.g. it would be nice if we could stop the discrimination between humans that pushes some on dangerous journeys while they could simply take a plane. For that to work, the causes have to be mentioned, which for the most part of it is that people are used.
