I think long-range hunting rifle with a scope. .270 maybe?
I have no clue other than the witness reports. And the one close up video. But seeing that shockwave hit his shirt, tells me it was something very very fast.
I don't want to watch it again, but it did seem real real fast huh? Lots of energy in the shot, not like an infantry weapon. Way more hunting rifle than AR .223.

ope: it was a rifle rifle. They are reporting Mauser in .30 caliber so... M98 in .308? Something like that anyway. Mauser also makes a very nice line of modern hunting rifles and you can get those in 30-06
