"Small" farmers own millions in land and equipment. Mom and Pop farmers are essentially a myth at this point.
Listen, there are two ways things can be. A diverse set of farms with less than 100 acres total each, or entire regions of millions of acres dominated singularly by massive corporations.
Small farmers exist, and mom and pop farmers are very real, even if it is inherently quite exclusive.
Incorrect, the banks own millions in land and equipment...
Most smaller farms are mortgaged out their asses.
