Is there really no difference between the steam version and the windows version? Or does the windows license really cost them $180? Cause as-is, it would be cheaper to buy the steam version and put your own windows license on it.

Hey, I have a SteamDeck and it's running SteamOS. I'm just saying that IF you wanted windows, it wouldn't make sense to buy it as a Windows device.

But yea, that's been true for decades now, if you could find an OEM that sold the model you wanted sans windows AND offered a discount for it it'd be about 100 bucks cheaper
