Spoiler: No. The "theory of everything" is a physics grift like "AI" is a computer science grift.

Well, the phrase "theory of everything" isn't helpful, but it's not really the content of the current article apart from the headline. Most of the article is about how a particular geometrical technique greatly simplifies many physical calculations within the Standard Model, and could help lead to greater unification of physical theory. It's a pretty sober article really and not the usual excitable stuff.
