Boycott US
Overview:
The community dedicated to boycotting the US until they stop fascism, restore full democracy and start following international law.
Americans have a moral obligation to resist Donald Trump and project 2025 at every turn.
America is a flawed democracy currently being ruled by oligarchs. Stop the backslide! Dont let America become the next Hungary.
America needs to challenge the court rulings of citizens united v. fec and shelby county v. holder, protect the media, implement independent district drawing, and the single transferable vote so they don't end up having people stay home in life-changing elections because they cannot vote for their favourite candidate.

IMO, Canadians are rightfully staying home because of (a) anger over the whole 51st state bullshit, (b) the tariff war, and (c) the possibility of being unjustly detained without warning in inhumane conditions for an inderminate period of time and with no way of knowing what country you'll eventually be sent to.
There are too many Americans who think, "Hey, don't worry, you're a good visitor / immigrant / businessperson, you'll be treated fine", when manifestly at least some of those people are not treated well. And the potential risk, however slight, is in no way worth the "reward" of visiting a certain country for vacation. There are plenty of other sights to see on this planet; y'all can come back to the States (if you ever want to - I wouldn't), when we aren't kidnapping people off the streets, detaining them without due process, and stop shipping them overseas to countries like El Salvador and Rwanda.
Yes, but you’re also missing (d) a lot of us hated Trump the first time around, and we didn’t visit out of principle alone.
This time it is so much worse.
electing him a second time made it so I avoided the US. threatening annexation made it so I boycotted their products. the fascist takeover made it so I won't even travel there for work
