Right? Even before he was in Congress he was a comedian. If I recall correctly, during a live performance for troops, I think, he pretended to grope a female wearing a flak vest. It was all in jest with everyone laughing about it on the video. The female victim didn't even think it was a big deal, if I recall, and didn't think he should have any punishment for it. It was so disheartening to watch it all play out.

The right is fine using cancel culture to force a Democrat to resign, but Republicans literally lie, cheat, steal, and harass and there's nothing but crickets from them.

I believe the primary instigator calling for Franken's resignation was actually Kirsten Gillibrand who did so to try and elevate her national profile when vying for the democratic presidential nomination
