Be more specific than “join a group” because these groups are literally doing nothing. “Organize” is what you do when you have time to spare.

Hi thank you for responding to my comment. You are correct in pointing out that free time is a privilege that not everyone has. So I apogize if I recommend you to do something that seems impossible. I would like to state however that the reason most working people have so little free time is because the working class is so disorganized and unmotivated. If you are not apart of a union you cant really do anything on your own when your boss forces you to take (unpaid) overtime. I knew a person who said they basicly had no free time so they listened to marxist audio book while working as a delivery driver.

Its up to you to decide whether you have the time or are able to do something creative in order to educate yourself. I would not lay any judgement on you if you simply dont have the time. Just know that it is within your own interest to try to educate yourself and organize with others.

I would disagree with your statement that these groups do nothing. Antifascist groups hold counter demonstrations when fascists try to openly show their faces and they spread propaganda that goes counter to the capitalist media narrative. Unions help in the improvement of workers lives by fighting for better working conditions and wages, less hours ect. And communist orgs have been rallying people to go to protests and show that there is an alternative view on the situation. As someone living in europe, pro palestinian protests have had a massive impact on cutting through the lies and propaganda being produced by the capitalist media machine concerning the occupation of palestine. Further more when a fascist dictator comes to power history has shown that communists are first to pick up armed struggle and organize into militias to fight for the liberation of working people. A modern example of this is in india were currently there are armed communists militias fighting against the facist government.

I ofcourse dont expect you to join a militia but the reason the capitalist class is able to exploit and supress the working class while being greatly outnumbered is because they are more organized. So joining a group and getting educated is important if you want to understand why things are happening in the world and how to fight back. Keeping you discouraged and depressed works perfectly in the ruling class interests so the media bombards you with a constant barrage of bad news. There is however hope and people are fighting and making a difference even if things apear to remain the same.
