But even then it makes no sense! The rich aren’t immune to disease… I don’t even know who is meant to make money on this shit

Right but the rich will still have real doctors with real medicine on call (or they can just travel to a country with real medicine).

When Mao Zedong unified thousands of years of quackery and superstition into "Traditional Chinese Medicine" to placate the masses need for healthcare, he kept real doctors on hand, because he knew it was all bunk.
