I'm not pigeonholing you, I'm responding in context to what I said earlier.
A lot of the definition of being a good man and husband comes from being a provider; a definition that hasn't changed while the definition of a good woman and wife has increased to helping to significantly provide for a family.
If you don't change the social acceptance of men doing other things than provide for a family, it is going to cause significant issues for those men who aren't working.
Yeah you don't change a culture by wishing about it and this just isn't the decade for the world to care about mens' needs, and no one is interested in portraying men in nurturing roles outside of women geared media. On the other hand assholes like tate and rogan are gaining record breaking audiences of angry disaffected men tired of being marginalized while being told they aren't being marginalized.
I'm pretty sure the competing ideologies of fascism and 3rd wave feminism are going to ratchet up the gender war for the forseeable future and anyone in the middle is going to get stomped by both sides.
