Sharkey doesn’t fetche replies to Lemmy comments
I interact with Lemmy using my account on a Sharkey instance. It all works well except you only see direct comments to you post, while replies to them are not visible except you look at your post on a Lemmy instance
I’m not sure if federation with Lemmy has this issue with other software, however I may have seen a Lemmy post made by a Mastodon account, and replies were visible when seeing the post from the original Mastodon instance.
So this may be something related to -key softwares

Does anyone on your instance follow the communities you're interested in? Lemmy communities 'boosts' all comments it receives, so you should have them.

@flamingos@feddit.uk when I post on a Lemmy community I always follow it first, so I should receive everything that is boosted in theory. For comparison, I do the same with Guppe groups and it works as you described (as long as the group is tagged)

I don't have a Sharkey account to test (I really need to move my masto off .social one of these days) but it works in Mastodon

Here's an example (you'll need to look on Lemmy to see the image):
