Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Blames Hillary, Obama and Biden for the Epstein Files, which also don't exist.

I love that he's getting torched by his own.

That's not Epstein list. It's just book with a bunch of contacts. Some Epstein met, some Epstein wanted to meet.

As per Snopes:

Because according to Mr. Rodriguez’s statement in the affidavit, the book was compiled by employees of Mr. Epstein, not by Mr. Epstein himself. Those contacted for this article acknowledged having met Ghislaine Maxwell, Mr. Epstein’s former girlfriend and “lady of the house,” and posited perhaps that was how their names ended up in the book. (It is unclear from the affidavit whether Ms. Maxwell is one of the “employees.” Ms. Buck said that she had met Ms. Maxwell at a boutique opening but that “she never phoned me.”)

The Integillience did a deep dive on the contacts in the book.

Snopes is about as trustworthy as donald trump, or any other corporate Main stream media outlet owned by billionaires. Just a bunch of bullshit to stop any critical thinking dead in it’s tracks and preserve the status quo

Conrad Black 🙄🙄🙄

Thank you. I’ve been wondering whether I had hallucinated this, since it sounds like many people have forgotten this exists.

We saw this a full decade ago. It’s the contents of his ‘black book’, and trump is listed specifically under the ‘Island’ heading.

It was released as evidence during Epstein’s pretrial hearings. Before he died.

We already knew all this, he just died before he could testify as to the details of his notes.

Anyone who can read and doesn’t have the memory of a goldfish knows that trump is an accomplice of epstein’s

Thanks, so what are people expecting to be released?

[–] Zron@lemmy.world 1 points 14 hours ago

The FBI recovered extensive documentation when they raided the island. Epstein was essentially running a business trafficking young girls to his pedo island, and he made sure to keep records.

The list of customers was only ever partially released, and certain people’s names were redacted. One of them was heavily redacted due to his prominent public position. Trump was president at the time this partial list was released, and made every effort to say how he barely knew Epstein, even though there’s hundreds of pictures of them hugging and smiling both by themselves and with their wives.

What people want is the full list of names. Trump basically confirmed himself as on the list due to his behavior. But there are certainly many people who went to that island and should not be walking free but managed to slip under the radar.

Blaine & Robert (as a pair), Ivana and Ivanka are there but not Donald???

Weird.

Edit: Donald Trump is there. But separate from the rest. Took another look.

Turns out Donald Trump actually is there. For some reason, he's together with the other Trumps.

[–] LillyPip@lemmy.ca 2 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

It’s because Ivana is in the general section at the top, but there are specific sections after that, like ‘65th Street’, ‘Entertainment’, ‘Finance’, ‘Hotels’, ‘Island’, etc. Donald is listed under ‘Island’.

There’s also a section for ‘Massage - Florida’ that mostly includes girls’ first names (with separate entries for their moms in some cases), and several are redacted (IIRC because they were to be witnesses in his case).

Ah. Thanks for clarifying.
