Precisely. They figured out how to rake in billions of dollars through losing elections. All the money they raise, poof: gone! Gone to "strategists" and "consultants" and "advertising agencies" and all manner of other bullshit that are just legitimate-sounding names for fences who launder the money for them.

It's like the plot of The Producers:
"you can make more money with a flop than a hit!"
