Referring to Trump as “Daddy” has become quite the thing among conservatives. Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) have both done so. Right-wing internet personality Charlie Kirk called him “dad.”

Former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson has likened Trump to an angry dad going to give “a bad girl” a “vigorous spanking” and actor Mel Gibson said Trump’s return to office is “like daddy arrived and he’s taking his belt off.”

The oedipus complex coming in thick and fast. Wanna talk about it, America?

Well Oedipus pokes his eyes out with needles, his mom hangs herself, and his father is famously murdered by his son. I don't know who is supposed to be who in this analogy but it seems promising.

Trump as Oedipus, immigrants as his father, and the abstract concept of freedom as his mother.

Immigrants and freedom made Trump possible, and managed to avoid him for a bit. Then he comes back, kills immigrants and fucks freedom, at which point, lady liberty kills herself.

Where is Ben Garrison when you need him.
