Telsa stock is tanking, Trump is flip-flopping on his campaign promises (shocking, we know), JD Vance proves once again he’s only in it for himself…. and our students, veterans, environment, and democracy? Under attack. 📰💀

This administration will go out of its way to demonize us by saying we are radicals that hate the USA. We need to actively display the American any chance we can get. Not just at home but at protests too. Wave a flag, wear a T-shirt, etc. make it clear we are not anti American and are doing this out of love for our country. make sure they cant paint us as anything other than patriots.

Between Tesla shares falling 30% in one month, losing billions due to alienating Carlos Slim, saying he is afraid for his safety, and almost crying mid-interview over his companies imploding, it’s clear that the pushback is taking a heavy toll on Elon.

Judging by Trump’s need to promote Tesla and tell his cabinet that “they control their agencies, not Elon Musk,” the latter is clearly seen as a weak link by the current administration, and is most likely costing them countless supporters due to the mass layoffs.

This is absolutely crucial! Musk is currently the biggest threat to democracy, not Trump. Trump is an idiot who failed to steal the 2020 election. Musk has access to sensitive systems, including, in Trump’s own words, “those vote counting computers.” We need to capitalize on the public discontent and drive a wedge between him and the current administration. If we manage to have him fired before mid-terms, we have big hopes. Else, there’s no guaranteeing anything, including that the next election won’t be stolen.

There are several ways to achieve our goal:

  • Make the message clear. Protest signs and slogans asking to uphold democracy fall on deaf ears because they seem vague, preachy, and infantile. Protest signs and slogans demanding this man be fired and his cabal dismantled are clear and forceful. Hell, we could even put a DOGE spin on it. “Want to remove waste? REMOVE ELON MUSK!”
  • Delete Twitter. I understand some of us want to break the echo chamber, but that website is a lost cause. The lower the number of users, the less powerful he feels, the less advertisers care about him.
  • Keep things constant. Don’t protest or boycott for a day and then stop. Keep up the pressure, escalate it. That’s how their attention is grabbed.
  • Keep things peaceful. Yes, it sounds lame, but what we need right now is absolutely not for Elon to “get Luigi’d.” Something like that would only grant him martyrdom in the eyes of MAGA and give Trump the opportunity to crack down on freedoms through the pretext of “security.” Don’t attack; let him fail on his own, and pressure his collaborators to estrange him.

I know there is a lot going on right now. But we need to put the pressure on and tell our Senators to vote no on the CR: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIqJM7IvqWU

This is big folks. Sam didn't pull back on the urgency.

***Edit

Here is the number for the senate switch-board: (202) 224-3121

Use it. Call your Senators. Don't care if they're Republican or Democrat. Tell them to vote No. Probably needs to be especially emphasized for the Dems, per what Sam says. But we really need to mobilize and vocalize on this one.

That’s all. Designate them as a terrorist organization. Defund them. Destroy them. They are the cause of all of this chaos.

You may ask why. The answer is simple. Their plan had always been to destroy the stock market and democracy so that they can buy up America cheap and impose their totalitarian beliefs on the rest of us.

They are the real problem. They caused all of this. It’s THEIR plan. Never forget.

Hear me out, I think this is a creative way to help protest. If you have spare time, call or go to your Tesla dealership and show interest in buying a Tesla vehicle. Don’t be sure about what you want, have them give you all the details, model options etc. and just waste as much time as possible. Give them fake information like social security and your name, and pretend to be bafflingly confused when it comes up blank. Keep them on the ropes for multiple days; have them continue to call you back because you just haven’t made up your mind. Even test drive one if you have the opportunity. And, after all that, just say “meh, I don’t know, I think I’ll go get a Pontiac” or something, taking that salesperson away from actually being able to sell one. Not sure if anyone has proposed this before, but I think it could be a good way to screw Tesla over for those unwilling to do illegal vandalism.

Fetterman insults his colleagues and doubles down on support for Trump:

To achieve the 60 votes needed to invoke cloture and overcome a filibuster on the current continuing resolution (CR) under consideration, Republicans would need to secure at least 7 Democratic votes.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE call your Senator and tell them to vote "NO". Cory Booker and Chuck Schumer, at least, seem to be on the fence/ are considering voting yes.

Tell them NO! It is not okay to vote to normalize DOGE, the firing of workers and the gutting of our entitlements. Vote maybe as soon as Thursday, so please call, email ASAP.

This has to stop. I know this subject relates specifically to Texas, but once one Bible Belt State passes something like this, they all do, and it spreads.

Do not be mistaken, this is a step towards active genocide. GOP lawmakers want trans (and later on all LGBTQ+) people to be criminalised. I have 0 doubt that if given the chance, they will happily recreate 1940's Germany in a very specific way. And once the right to exist as a trans person is removed, it is only a matter of time before they go after everyone else.

We cannot sit by any more. We need to get loud, we need to be assertive. There is no more negotiating. There is no more asking kindly. Now, there is our demands as citizens of the United States.

What will you do when they turn on you? What will you do when they've turned your friends/family/neighbours/co-workers into your enemy? What will you do when everything you love is at risk? What will you do?

Trump and his cronies continue to threaten the foundations of our democracy. Threatening public services with investigations and defunding for not complying with his dictatorial demands, dismantling essential agencies and sources of employment that provide public good and services, using the armed forces and ICE to terrorise and send immigrants to Guantanamo Bay, throwing trans women into men's prisons to make them suffer, denying court orders, dismantling our alliances, and now even threatening our judges for doing their jobs.

I know there is a LOT didn't mention there, and people in the comments can post more if they so wish.

Trump threatens not only our institutions but now our lives. We have been backed into a corner and now we must make a choice. I know what I would do; demand the immediate impeachment of Donald Trump. If Congress won't do so on their own accord, then we must use our powers as citizens of the United States to demand this of them, or have them replaced with those who will.

What would you do? What is your limit? How much more of Trump and Musk must you suffer?

It's becoming clearer by the day that the weak point in this administration is Elon. He is causing internal conflicts within the cabinet and creating negative news that Trump has to deal with and is causing additional chaos that creating cracks.

With the "bad day" Elon had yesterday it is more important than ever to push forward harder with boycotts, and protests that effect him as he continues to rip apart our country. If we let up he can and will recover, his brand is a currently a dumpster fire he is trying to put out, don't let him, he did this to himself.

The protests are working, the boycotts are working, its not time to step down its time to step up.

Trump’s post isn’t about free markets or fair competition—it’s a desperate attempt to stop the financial bleeding of his ally, Elon Musk. And let’s be honest, Musk is feeling the pressure. You’ve seen the interviews where he struggles to hold back emotion when confronted with the state of his businesses. That’s not the reaction of a man who’s winning.

They want you to believe this is about “illegal boycotts” and political persecution, but don’t be fooled. This is capitalism in action—people refusing to support a company that no longer aligns with their values. It’s the same playbook conservatives have used for years when they call for boycotts of companies they don’t like. Now that the tables have turned, they’re crying foul.

The fact that Trump felt the need to make this statement proves one thing: it’s working. Tesla’s reputation is tanking, Musk’s influence is slipping, and the financial pain is real. If they weren’t worried, they wouldn’t be talking about it.

This is market manipulation, plain and simple.

Trump publicly announcing that he’s buying a Tesla to “support” Musk—right after Tesla’s stock plummeted 15%—isn’t just desperate, it’s legally questionable. The UK Telegraph article outlines the major financial hit Tesla has taken due to mounting public criticism of Musk. Now, Trump is stepping in, trying to artificially prop up the stock by signaling to his followers to buy in.

Here’s the problem: Under U.S. securities laws, it is illegal to attempt to manipulate the stock market through public influence—a rule that applies to CEOs, politicians, and public figures alike. The Securities Exchange Act of 1934 explicitly prohibits “any manipulative or deceptive device or contrivance” designed to influence stock prices. Public figures cannot legally make statements intended to boost or crash a stock for personal or political gain.

This is the same tactic Musk himself has been fined for in the past. The SEC penalized Musk in 2018 after his misleading tweets about taking Tesla private at $420 a share caused market chaos. Now, Trump is trying to do the same thing—using his influence to rescue his billionaire friend’s failing stock.

Why is this happening? Because the boycott is working. Tesla’s stock is falling, Musk is feeling the heat, and now Trump is trying to bail him out. But this kind of manipulation isn’t just unethical—it’s potentially illegal. And if the SEC is doing its job, it should be investigating this immediately.

Keep the pressure on. They wouldn’t be scrambling if it wasn’t working.

Trump just personally posted an image featuring a pink triangle—a symbol the Nazis used to mark LGBTQ+ people in concentration camps—to promote his administration’s policy banning transgender people from military service. This is no accident.

The article he linked is about how military recruitment under his administration is changing, explicitly excluding trans people. But the choice of imagery? That’s an escalation. The pink triangle isn’t just a generic LGBTQ+ symbol—it’s a historical badge of persecution. And now it’s being used as a badge of exclusion. The pink triangle—originally used by the Nazis to mark and persecute LGBTQ+ people—is being repurposed as a symbol of exclusion in U.S. military policy.

Trump’s administration is rolling back rights at an alarming pace, and now we have explicit imagery signaling just how deep this goes. The article linked in the tweet discusses the removal of transgender people from military recruitment, but the choice of imagery is chilling. This isn’t just about policy—it’s about openly embracing the historical symbols of persecution.

And it’s not just the post itself—it’s the response. Over 13,000 people have liked it. That might seem small in the grand scheme of things, but think about what it means. Thousands of people saw a Nazi-era symbol being used to justify banning trans people from the military and openly approved of it. It’s disheartening, but more than that, it’s a reality check.

This is not a coincidence. This is not subtle. The escalation of attacks on human rights, particularly against LGBTQ+ people, is no longer creeping—it’s marching. If this kind of rhetoric is normalized, what comes next?

They are showing us exactly what they stand for. We should believe them.

Guys, I can't stress enough how important it is now more than ever to bring American flags to protests! It hurts the regime narrative of us being "anti-American" Or just all immigrents, it lets the people know we're on THEIR side, it lets us take back the idea of being the real patriots, and, if they arrest (or worse) someone carrying an American flag the optics will be HORRIBLE for them!

I know if you look online right now Canadian sentiment toward Americans doesn't look great, but I wanted to assure you all:

Canada doesn't hate us; they hate our current "government".

I'm sure some Canadians have turned against Americans for voting for tRump, but I assure you the majority of Canada, like the rest of the world, is rooting for us to stop this.

The reason you're seeing more of the "fuck Americans" posts on Canadian subreddits is because the regime wants us to think they hate us to keep us demoralized.

Don't let them trick you!

Re choosing a slogan for the protest we can choose "We were lied to" enmasse. Even though at first it might not seem like a slogan that represents us this is why it works:

  • It does not represents the left, it actually represents the whole country, all of its people.

  • This will provide a soft entryway for MAGA into our movement without being ostracized. This will create an illusion (maybe even representing a reality) that the tide has turned and MAGA has started protesting, catalyzing their coming out openly in large numbers.

  • It's disarming for channels like Fox. When they will try to paint protesters as fringe elements / radical left, and the signs will say we were lied to, it will seem it's MAGA that's protesting

  • It will send out a message to our allies that the actual people of the country are ashamed and did not vote for this.

  • It's not a lie, there are a lot of swing voters who fell for his lies about egg prices, project 2025, clearing the country of illegal immigrants more than what Biden did. This slogan will provide them an outlet rather than being embarrassed and stay back (I already hear a lot people saying if you voted for Trump I wish the worst upon you).

What do you think about this.

Edit - Thank you all for supporting this idea. To few of those debating weather it's catchy or not, maga not caring about his lying etc., that's not the point of this slogan. The point is to create an air that MAGA themselves are now out protesting. And validation from your own people goes a long way.

Numerous instances in US history where National Guardsmen or other US Military Forces used violence against protesters under the guise of "restoring order". This is not an exhaustive list, just some of the actions over the years in which soldiers, cops, or both have engaged in violence violating civil rights - mostly without repercussions.

2020-21 during the BLM Protests, national guard soldiers and cops engaged in indiscriminate use of less-than-lethals, made fun of hunting people for sport, vandalized personal vehicles, and used live rounds - killing one person in Kentucky who returned fire when fired upon by law enforcement/guardsmen. Numerous other people had been seriously injured, disabled, and or disfigured from police and military violence. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List/_of/_police/_violence/_incidents/_during/_George/_Floyd/_protests

Despite being Ocean away from United States, I watch how things turn in your country. I confess, making conclusions based on news articles and posts in social media is not even close to actually witnessing it in your cities or state. Yet, I can still make some observations.

  1. Donald Trump uses the same tactic Putin regime used to brainwash Russian people. The notes of being exploited, wanting to become respectable again, no matter the consequences, I heard this before. In Russia, it was done using federal TV. In US, it’s done using Truth Social and now Twitter. People are injected with hatred to everything and everyone. That eliminates possibility that people unite together against them (how will they if they think even those they live with can be ‘enemy’?)

  2. Anyone who thinks otherwise is labeled as enemy. It doesn’t matter what words are used, ‘libtard’, ‘leftist’, ‘agent of West’. It all has same idea: dehumanizing others, because facts are not on their side.

  3. The defeatism rhetoric in opposition. Here, I will be very blunt and might be rude. Right now, there is no space for arguments, debates or even accusations of each other. Any finger pointing plays in hand of those who try to destroy your country. Staying silent plays in their hand too. Being soft plays in their hand too. I have witnessed how different Russian opposition leaders argued each other, disapproved each other tactics. The result: opposition had no real leader, and their followers? Those were just group of people who came just to come, and the moment police arrived, they just ran away.

Why am I saying this? I escaped it and witnessed how those who opposed Putin are now hiding or hoping to prevail regime. As if it will get better. You, American people, are stronger than Russians, stronger than me. Your democracy stood longer than Russian did. It is not time to be scared, not time to play waiting game.

If you see the protest planning in your city? Go. If you wanna cancel your subscriptions to hurt Trump’s friends? Do it. Do not kneel to him and his fans.

You can dismiss me if you think otherwise. You still have choice to decide what’s right or wrong. I just don’t want you to leave in country like I did, where you won’t. It s easier to stop issue while it’s small (and trust me, this issue is far from being small now), than facing consequences and try to do damage control.

If you have any questions, I ll try to reply to all of you.

Something I read just now really drove home what a threat the Trump administration is setting up to become against protesting. They are terrified of us, which is empowering but also concerning.

As a group, what should we be doing to prepare for retaliation? How long until 50501 is associated with "terrorist activity" by the administration?

How can we use this to make our movement even louder, especially while the overall first amendment is still protected?

From Heather Cox Richardson today:

https://open.substack.com/pub/heathercoxrichardson/p/march-10-2025

As the administration’s economic policies are rocking the economy, the administration’s arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil, a 30-year-old Syrian-born Palestinian activist who figured prominently in the Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Columbia University last April, seems designed to rock society. According to Democracy Now, Khalil is an Algerian citizen, but he holds a U.S. green card and is married to a U.S. citizen who is 8 months pregnant.

Shortly after he took office, Trump issued an executive order saying he would revoke the student visas of anyone he claimed sympathized with Hamas. On Saturday, agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Khalil. Khalil’s lawyer said that ICE agents claimed they were acting on the orders of the State Department to revoke Khalil’s student visa, apparently unaware that Khalil, who graduated from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs in December 2024, is a lawful permanent resident of the United States. When his wife showed officers documents proving that status, the lawyer said, an officer said they were revoking his green card instead. He is apparently being held in Louisiana.

The revocation of a green card is very rare. The Associated Press noted that the Department of Homeland Security can begin the process of deportation for lawful permanent residents who are connected to alleged criminal activity. But Khalil hasn’t been charged with a crime. Nik Popli of Time magazine notes that a green card holder can be deported for supporting terrorist groups, but in that case the government must have material evidence. A Homeland Security spokesperson did not offer any such evidence, saying simply that Khalil’s arrest was “in support of President Trump’s executive orders prohibiting anti-Semitism” and that Khalil “led activities aligned to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.”

That is, the Trump administration has arrested and detained a legal resident for expressing an opinion that Trump officials don’t like, likely using Khalil to launch this extraordinary attack on the First Amendment because they don’t expect Americans to care deeply about his fate. Once the principle is established that the government can arrest and jail protesters, though, officials will use it to silence opposition broadly. “This is the first arrest of many to come,” Trump posted just after noon. “We know there are more students at Columbia who have engaged in pro-terrorist, anti-Semitic, anti-American activity, and the Trump Administration will not tolerate it.”
