Actually it seems like it's only up-/downvotibg comments that doesnt work for me anymore. For posts it gives me no error.

I assumed that it's the interaction between the app and the Piefed API
I'm having the same issue (started 2? days ago).
I can up and down vote posts but not comments.
Also, don't know if related, but I noticed my votes on comments were getting removed a week ago. I'd upvote something and then come back to it the next day and my vote would be gone (not up voted, no error).
I tried logging and and back in, with no effect.

Tried clearing cache, no effect
Edit 2: issue resolved.
This was a bug just introduced in the past day or two. Since piefed.zip runs the dev version of the code, it caught it. I just pushed a fix to the code, so piefed.zip will get the fix next time they update.
This doesn't solve your issue, but I just wanted to note that I was just able to up vote your comment.
I just installed the app on a pixel fold 10 pro.
I just tried to replicate this and I think there is a bug introduced in the past day or two in the PieFed code. Since piefed.zip is running the development version of the code (as opposed to stable), these kinds of bugs are going to happen from time to time. I will try to work on a fix today.
Edit: the fix was pretty easy. I just pushed an update to the code to fix this, so it will start working again whenever piefed.zip updates (I think they automatically update once per day).

It's working just fine here
I can think of 3 possible problems:
- problem with your local app cache/settings. Try to clear them or reinstall the app completely.
- problem with your account. Try to do the same actions with the other account.
- problem with app is global. It can be broken update or simply some new error. It may be fixed by installing older version of app or waiting for a new update.
Have you tried logging out and logging back in? In Jerboa that has worked for me before.
I had the same bug a while back after an outage on my instance. Simply logging out and back in fixed it for me
It happens to me occasionally, but I think itβs a matter of the receiving instance not accepting my vote.
This might sound like I'm lumping problems together, but I've had difficulties with images hosted by lemmy.zip recently. I figured it was just Sync throwing up issues, but the piefed.zip voting issues might be related, assuming both are run by the same team.
