Silly reporter thinking Valve can count to three.

The most rational explanation I can think of is that it's a planted leak to figure out who's leaking.

Either that or just extreme wishful thinking.

They do discuss that in the article

So what would the major innovation be? Running native under Linux? That seems too little focused on the game itself.. Would it be the vr? That doesn't seem novel enough given Alyx..

Edit: Oh no. Is it going to be AI of some sort? AI dialogue or something?

Edit 2: Co-op vr campaign? With a game director like in l4d, but then much more sophisticated

From the Source engine updates analyses, I think it’s going to be voxels (thus deformable world), a physics engine to support voxels, fluid stimulation, fire simulation, acoustics simulation, NPC AI emotional simulation and adding senses like smell to NPCs.

Story wise this could make sense. There was a ship stuck in ice right. Perhaps destroying, removing or deforming the snow and ice is going to be part of it?

If you can imagine it, then its not worth it. :p Half-Life 3 will be unimaginable... I mean off course it will, yes?

There were so many suggestions and prediction about Half-Life 3, that I cannot take anyone doing it seriously anymore. There were suggestions Half-Life 3 could be announced at the Summer Games Fest in example. I don't expect the game to launch with the system, despite it would be the "perfect" opportunity. But someone said it could, so people start believing it will. And off course they will write articles about rumors, because that generates hot link of clicks.
