This isn't necessarily new, but it's gotten worse. I think we are past the point of capitalism providing any "good". You can argue we needed it for a bit to breed engenuity and creation, but at this point we are just making shit worse with our advancements.
I heard a subway take that the world would be better if the Internet was just turned off, and I'm starting to agree!
Ingenuity and creation was never made by capitalism. A great majority of those who created anything new that brought us forward in any aspect (let that be scientific, technological, societal etc. progress), didn't do it for the money, or the fame.
Capitalism isn't the driving force. It was never actually needed - but those dependent on exploiting the workers, will gladly tell you that you wouldn't have your iPhones or computers or any modern things was it not for capitalism. Don't believe them.
No, the rest of us aren't on the payroll. In their eyes, we're expendable, nameless chum that greases the wheels of their cash machine.
Don't kid yourselves. We're not "human" to any of them. 🤌🏼
Jonathan Swift, again.
There's like 3000 billionaires at least
Really? Well, shit...

The rest of us are just the slavestock.

Well I quit, and I'm taking the CEO with me.
Where you going?
I've likened it to Epcott and we all work there and instead of it being a single city it's the entire country :) We get paid in Epcott Bucks. We don't own anything.
Being self-employed or otherwise owning your job and its success, having access to good healthcare, owning your own property, and making sure your loved ones have a way to protect them in case they need emergency assistance immediately when you arent there: Easy or otherwise affordable access to all of that is about all people need from their government to break free from the hold of capitalism. Debt is just another form of slavery.
And when they build robots to do the labour and AI to do the thinking, what do you think they'll do with us?
Neuralink us to the matrix and keep us alive to harvest us for energy, parts, and breeding stock.
Ya'll aren't actively sabotaging this shit?
How?
Your company implements ai tools, you make sure it is the most 'disruptive technology' they have ever seen.
And when I'm the only one who seems to struggle to find it's value?
