Theres one flashlight that sits right next to the phone chargers in my house for use in power outages. I would notice if it was missing.

I haven't been following the case, but if someone went missing from their house at night, I assume that one of the things that you'd look for is flashlights. It sounds like they also checked for other things, like shoes, cell phone, etc, and found all of those that they knew about. You wouldn't need to notice it missing, just to look for it and not be able to find it.
But why or how would she even know to look for it or disriminate that its missing much less?
Does she keep track of his "favorite" cloth?
I mean you take it. Sure if he had a flashlight they didn't know about it would not be missing. But he took a flashlight they new about. I have three flashlights at my backdoor if someone took them and I looked there I would know it's missing.
Look im just sayin' she probably has a million bigger other problems, it seems susaf to me for someone who should be a suspect to be throwing some weird red herring like a flashlight out there
