The government saves money twice: now, through staffing cuts, and again in 2027, when the pay equity bill comes due—with far fewer women left to collect it.
It is definitely inequitable and unfair in my opinion, but this double savings might end up being viewed positively by Canadians.
Viewed positively by the Canadians who are assholes, perhaps.
No disagreement from me there.
