China is increasingly dictating the course of Russia's policy and it could push Moscow to end the war in Ukraine, said Minister of Foreign Affairs Margus Tsahkna (Eesti 200).

Tsahkna was on an official visit to China last week, the first visit by an Estonian foreign minister in 10 years.

"My main task was to tell the Chinese foreign minister that Russia poses an existential threat to Europe and to Estonia. I reminded him that without China, Russia would not be able to carry out such aggression against Ukraine. The numbers show this is true, and it must be said plainly who holds economic and political control over Russia. If China wants to have good relations with Estonia, these issues must be addressed," Tsahkna [said].

I do not think China really cares about what Estonia wants, unfortunately !!

But at least they're setting a good example for other countries to emulate.

Unlike the far-right fuck-up leaders of my country (Finland), Estonian leaders actually have the balls to say stuff like this despite being a small country.

You are dead wrong, Estonia is represented in many fora that has China's acute attention.
Estonia is a small country, but they are a country with an independent voice, that is participating in decisions in for instance EU and NATO.

Estonia has been absolutely killing it the past few years on foreign affairs, and has the attention of many countries that are way bigger than them, especially in Europe.
Also they work directly together with Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Latvia and Lithuania, on foreign policies related to the Ukraine war.

Your knee jerk reaction that a big country can just ignore a small country, is naive and wrong. Especially regarding Estonia which is very respected and influential. There's a reason they are so often in the news on their political announcements.
