"I'm so disgusted by political violence than I'm going to visit it upon everyone who celebrates it!"

We're clearly dealing with Nobel Prize winners here. /s

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 51 points 3 days ago (2 children)

These are the same Einsteins that voted for Taco just so he could be their "retribution" - meaning, visit political violence on everyone they don't like.

But yeah, they abhor political violence. 🙄

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 27 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (2 children)

"No, not like that! It was only supposed to happen to brown people!"

(And the gays, transsexuals, liberals, artists and other degenerate dissidents like that)

[–] Tolookah@discuss.tchncs.de 8 points 3 days ago

Might as well add "people not far right enough" because that's who's getting targeted.

[–] ChonkyLincoln@lemmy.zip 5 points 2 days ago

So, just the Nazi playbook

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

What they abhor is their chickens coming home to roost.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago (2 children)

But celebrating political violence is what Charlie Kirk would've wanted.

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 2 points 3 days ago

Sure, but I don't see why I should give him what he wants -- I take pride in being nothing like him.

At the every least he would have wanted is to have shown him and. His family he left behind zero empathy because empathy is a made up term.

Musks shorthand version of this comic is especially telling.

“Let us torture you in peace or we’ll do it even harder.”

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 days ago

Musk is correct, but they're not the ones not being left in peace.

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

Hey, be careful now.

Every person in that pic would be more than happy to take a bunch of guns...

and give them to some sub-70 IQ inbred redneck with Christian psychosis to go fight their battles for them while they live in extreme luxury.

Trump is a pedophile and that’s what they’re protecting

[–] hOrni@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

Charlie would be proud to shift the focus away from Trumps pedophilia.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 31 points 3 days ago

Right wing "activists"

Don't you mean "terrorists?"

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 22 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The Confederates: people that cry about so-called "cancel culture" and say they are "free speech absolutists" now are sending death threats to people that allegedly celebrated this.

Oh, and people have already lost their jobs over their reactions to Kirk...

[–] floo@retrolemmy.com 9 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Lying and hypocrisy are two of the main pillars of conservatism. Stop being surprised by it.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago (2 children)

I don't think anyone is the least bit surprised. But it should still be pointed out, not accepted as them being normal. Yes, it's normal for them, and of course they have zero shame about it. But it's not normal for most human beings.

[–] floo@retrolemmy.com 2 points 3 days ago

I certainly agree with this sentiment.

[–] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 20 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

"Allegedly"...

I haven't stopped celebrating for two days.

It wasn't RIGHT for him to be killed like that, but I believed the world would be better without him a week ago, and that opinion hasn't changed now that he's gone.

[–] Sammy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 3 days ago

Every time I see his dumb (dead) face I'm like:

But but but ...free speech

[–] Bronzebeard@lemmy.zip 14 points 2 days ago

How dare you call us violent?!? We'll kill you for that

[–] misteloct@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Unpopular opinion, most of your social media should be done anonymously with privacy tools.

But also not blaming these people for exposing their identity, and being against fascism.

[–] snackzilla@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Where can someone learn about this? Specifically Facebook

[–] TeenieBopper@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

Pretty sure the answer here is "don't use Facebook."

[–] misteloct@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago

If you absolutely must use Facebook anonymously here's a Reddit comment that is more likely to work than using Tor/VPN for setup. However you'd also need to not friend anyone you know... Definitely curious what your use case is.

https://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/eqzr0v/comment/fezxlrr/

I recently tried this. My finding was not to use all those anonymizing techniques. I tried them and had the exact same result as you. Then I tried the following: look as "normal" to the Facebook algorithms as possible. So, I found a cafe that used a regular residential style internet service provider, instead of some place like Starbucks or McDonald's which use commercial providers tailored for corporate use. Then I used an old smart phone I had and factory restored it on the cafe wifi. When installing and setting up Android I was able to get a gmail account much easier than getting one from my desktop PC - no request for phone number, etc. Then I made up a profile using fake info. I grabbed a photo online and modified it to remove any watermarks and changed it with a filter. I checked it against Tineye to make sure it wasn't available anywhere else. Then I downloaded the Facebook app on the phone and signed up for an account while connected to the cafe WiFi. You could use phone service provided internet, but I only registered for a non-data prepaid phone plan to save on cost. It was straight forward and I just verified the account through the phone (i.e. sms). The account was setup without any of the "warnings" and then I added a few details to the account (i.e. current location, hometown, education, etc.). I did a bit of searching for other users, nothing too extreme and then let the account age for a few days before using it regularly. I use it regularly now through a VPN and used it for an Instagram account as well. The key was looking as "normal" to Facebook as possible. I never use it from my home WiFi because I figure it'll just connect the two IP addresses somewhere in their databases. This was really just an experiment, more than anything. I don't use Facebook, but wanted an account for the odd time I needed to search Facebook for someone. My conclusion was that Facebook, Instagram, gmail, Snapchat, etc. are much more "lenient" when signing up for an account from a phone/Android then from a PC w/Windows/Linux/MacOS. Hope it helps.

Feral maga is turning on itself and it’s pedo king. Soon they won’t have time to worry about us laughing because they’ll be busy trying not to get shot by their own guys

[–] nymnympseudonym@piefed.social 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

So I'm looking up "Tyler Robinson" and Etsy has only MAGA. Nothing like the St Luigi which is what I want.

Normally I would use Grok to do a face swap but somehow I think that would get me a personal visit with Tulsi Gabbard that I do not want.

So I'm searching around and I find this: Replicas of Charlie Kirk shooting suspect Tyler Robinson's T-shirt On Sale

This shirt appears to have come from the Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF), the Guardian reported.
One shirt on needshirt, for sale at $17.49, is described as a "funny political T-shirt."
One listing on Etsy showed a shirt with the description "Land of the Free Home of the Brave Shirt Bald Eagle USA Flag Tee Patriotic American T-shirt Charlie Kirk Shooters Shirt, Kirk Shooter Shirt."

Can anybody find a link to someone selling Tyler Robinson swag? Or get ballsy and sell some yourself?

EDIT: Found some on Ebay , they are selling like hotcakes

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The dude looks to be a groyper who shot the founder of TPUSA. So, basically a ~~Marklar~~ "maga" that shot another ~~Marklar~~ "maga".

I would think that the target demo for any associated gear would be very, very slim?

So, does laughing at the Kool Aid Fountain his neck turned into count? How about creating a playlist called In Memory of Charlie Kirk that starts with Hey Man, Nice Shot, and Bye Bye Bye?

[–] ChonkyLincoln@lemmy.zip 6 points 2 days ago

Oh! My feelings!

Fucking cowards

[–] Bakkoda@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 days ago

Activists lol yeah activists for themselves.

[–] TuffNutzes@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

I'm sure the Trump regime's FBI will be right on top of that.

[–] onslaught545@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 days ago

They gotta recruit from somewhere, right?

[–] pozzy77@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

Someone should setup a fake reporting site and then dig in on anyone that reports and send any political incorrect posts they said back to them and there Empolyer

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (7 children)

[–] TeenieBopper@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The amount of the population I fear in a fist fight is well less than 1%. These pussies bring guns tho.

Not sad, but that doesn't mean I'm celebrating.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 3 days ago

Same, honestly. I live in the vicinity of the Colorado shooting that happened, and....I'm just exhausted with shootings. I'm sure most Americans have hit that point, and over and over. And yet they persist. They have to.

But this week has really been...a lot. Emergency vehicle sirens going for what felt like nonstop while listening to scanner feed and worrying about the kids and getting updates from friends and neighbors and coworkers about what they are (or are not) hearing from their kids, and seeing updates on the OTHER shooting in Utah.

It's all too much. I'm just tired. I know I'm not alone in that.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 2 points 3 days ago (6 children)

Does this mean lemmy will get a bunch of new Republican signups?
