She knows that when I hold out my arm like that, I have treats. She just likes to be a shithead when I go to get her from the pasture. She'll see me, get excited, make a noise of greeting, then walk halfway over before turning around and trotting in the opposite direction.

Then she acts totally uninterested in me and my treats until she realizes that I'm not gonna chase her through the pasture and stands for me while I put her lead on lol.

It's getting easier to get a lead on her. I'm hoping she'll just eventually learn to come when I call for her.

I first read that as “interested in threats” and I almost shouted out loud “SAANNDDDYYYY NOOOOOOOO!!” Expecting to see a porcupine or something in the photo.

If it's any comfort, the nth generation stray cat that used to shred my skin if she realized I was close before she noticed a couple or few months ago now sits in my lap while I pet the drool out of her. It took lots of food and patience.

Yeah. It's gonna take a while for Sandy to learn that when I take her out of pasture, I always put her back. She was wasting away in a stall for 6 years before I came around, so having so much outside time is very new to her.

You're welcome. I never did get to share them with the elderly lady. She's in the hospital.
