yup! if you understand school lunchroom dynamics or navigating a rough neighborhood, you know everything there is to know about geopolitics

Russia (from my armchair) looks to be essentially a colony of China at this point, and China has most of a supply line that ignores western nations.

Except for tech, which they still have to steal from us.

Probably mean they can get their supply of stuff from china and south east asia. That's the reason they can survive being sanctioned for so long since the war.

The reality is that Putin and his oligarchs hate sanctions. They're not making that pronouncement for our benefit. Nothing they do is for our benefit.
