While everyone is working tirelessly at trying to control a disaster that is being exacerbated by climate change, Karen demands to talk to the manager.

Why don't they rake their forests like any civilized nation, dammit!?! /s

Karen demands to talk to the manager, while adding fuel to the fire.

This is hilarious considering they fucked over the EPA provision that prevented one state’s emissions from harming another (eg Ohio smoke causing acid rain in upstate NY).

I’m calling it. Pretty soon Trump is going to demand the construction of giant fans along the US/Canada border to blow all the smoke back into Canada.

Perfect opportunity to build wind turbines, call them "freedom fans"

Or join the US as the CHERISHED 51st STATE, and then the smoke would be AMERICAN smoke and ket me tell you - don't we love american smoke!

I’m sure “and Canada will pay for it!” Just like the Wall.

How about you curb fascism first. GTFO.

[–] Jtee@lemmy.world 17 points 18 hours ago

And I demand the US curbs the air pollution affecting Canada during July 4th fireworks displays but that's not going to happen is it lol

They could take action themselves and enact better climate policies. Could have done so decades ago and maybe we wouldn’t have record wildfires every year.

We'd love to. You know we get it first and in higher concentration, right? Not to mention all our shit that burns down in the process.

And I mean, it's from the climate change that you helped make as well...

[–] finitebanjo@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

I hope they put this line in the history books when they cover 21st century climate change.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 2 points 9 hours ago

Quick! Find out what they're doing to prevent wildfire smoke from spreading north to osoyoos and use that.

Oh. Nothing? Just luck? Okay.
