Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Fuck you, Joe. You brainwashed millions of dumb ass losers to support this shit and only now you realize you supported the Nazis?

[–] xyzzy@lemmy.today 38 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If you time traveled to the early 2000s and told me that the host of Fear Factor was one of the most important voices in American politics and the host of The Apprentice was a fascist president in his second term, I think I would've just walked into the sea.

Even if you traveled to 2018 back when joe was saying Bernie Sanders was the best guy around, and told me he would have a large part to play in the US going full on facist I’d have a hard time believing you.

Probably. He's an idiot. He's just smart enough to realize how and where he fucked up but only once things get stupid. To paraphrase Rick James "A hundred million dollars is a hell of a drug."

I don't understand how he could not have seen this coming given how he endorsed Trump.

Joe Rogan is insane.

[–] Kekzkrieger@feddit.org 4 points 22 hours ago

Joe Rogan is not even insane he is just some fucktard comedian with bad taste jokes.

[–] kibiz0r@midwest.social 63 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I believe two contradictory things here:

  • It’s impossible for anyone to still be confused about who Trump is at this point
  • It’s possible for Joe Rogan to be confused about anything and everything

You underestimate how oblivious and/or stupid people are. The first one is absolutely not true.

This asshole has been trying to tear this country apart for 8+years now. If you "don't know who Trump is" at this point you're either too far gone in the cult, or you're lying to yourself and others so you can sleep at night. Giving people a pass as dumb/oblivious is bullshit and gives these people an out they don't deserve.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

He's neither, he's a paid shill.

[–] sepi@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago

There is no contradiction

[–] MisterOwl@lemmy.world 40 points 1 day ago

Fuck off, Rogan. You're part of the reason we're in this mess.

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 36 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I can see the two neurons duelling in real time

[–] lagoon8622@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 day ago

He's the dumbest man alive, and that's saying something. He's so credulous about absolutely everything

[–] ToastedRavioli@midwest.social 29 points 1 day ago

Reasonable people everywhere call Joe Rogan insane for being such a dunce that he is just now realizing this was the plan the entire time

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 27 points 1 day ago

Hey everybody monkey man thinks and hurt himself.

[–] resipsaloquitur@lemmy.world 23 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You going to retract your endorsement, Joe?

Maybe we shouldn’t take political advice from comedians.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 4 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago)

Especially ones that have literally been on stage and said "Nobody should listen to me. I'm an idiot! I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about!" like Joe has.

[–] IsThisAnAI@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

No fucking shit Joe. No fucking shit. You dumb fucking monkey.

[–] ikidd@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago

And tomorrow he'll say the opposite. He's almost as wishy-washy as Trump.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 11 points 1 day ago

Who the fuck cares what this shitbag says?

[–] Montreal_Metro@lemmy.ca 8 points 22 hours ago

Joe wins a free trip to beautiful El Salvador.

[–] thisphuckinguy@lemmy.world 8 points 18 hours ago
[–] ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago

But that was the point of electing him…

[–] Yeller_king@reddthat.com 6 points 21 hours ago

I mean the Trump campaign was quite clear about their stance on immigrants, so...

[–] eugenevdebs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 15 hours ago

I'm happy he can (seemingly, on this one episode) change his mind but fuck him for enabling this bullshit in the first place.
