Major downgrade seems to be the lack of USB3 and display out over USB-C that both the FP4&5 have. Imho this limits the use-case as a linux phone massively.

Mother fucker. That’s a huge disappointment.
Yep FP6 is DOA for me thanks to that dumb decision.
Its great that some people don't care; but the sentiment from them seems to be well I don't need it so why include it? Umm because plenty of people need it. Why downgrade it from FP4&5 for those of us who need/want USB3, or even just for longeivity of the device. Its already outdated and hasn't even launched.
Its like when companies release a new product with micro USB instead of type C... 🤦♂️ just why
Now I just need GrapheneOS to support it.
