This exactly. We all knew Carney was a red Tory and we voted to avoid Maple MAGA. Doesn't mean we get to sit back and relax and presume everything will be hunky-dory.

Oil money pays for full time lobbyists to be in and around Carney's ear. If we don't speak up, those will be the only voices he will be hearing.

Conflating the Conservatives and Liberals because of some ideological overlap isn't useful.

Let's lay it out plainly, we prevented the worst case scenario but it still moved us to the right. We need to advocate for left wing policies and do our best to keep our politician's honest. However we won't see results until we can apply direct pressure with votes, neglecting the adoption of a more progressive voting system was the true failure of the Trudeau government.
