At least make a funny joke if you're going to mock murder victims. "LOL HE GARGLED AND CHOKED ON HIS BLOOD" is not an attempt at dark humor, it's just enjoying death and violence.
The reason people are making these types of posts is because he was a blatant racist (source) who said that little kids being killed in school shootings is "worth it" (source) ridiculed disabled people in his circles (source) and said that children should witness public executions (source)
Yes he was murdered but not all murder victims are innocent saints either
He had a following cheering him on, too.
There's a family of kids who've died to school shooters. In a lot of cases, they're very upset and have very little to live for.
He was perpetuating it. I'm honestly shocked it took this long.
I actually find it encouraging that people still respond to "evil." Like yeah we don't allow people to just be openly evil anymore. That sounds like a good change.
The joke is that he was willing to let some people die at the altar of the Second Amendment (not him, of course), then he become one of those "some people."

We'd mostly have a different views if he weren't openly advocating for school shootings. He was literally framing them as a good thing. He was shock and awe, and drawing followers. It's not all jokes, people are happy he's dead and rightfully so imo.
His literal last moment is him deflecting the question to a right wing dog whistle
