Newsom did the math. He is the only high ranking neoliberal Democrat, who activly fights Trump. It is very obvious that fighting Trump is incredibly popular and also that all of the further left candidates are not going to get funding from billionaires. That puts Newsom into a very strong position to become the next US president, if there is a free and fair election.
I fucking hope he does't run for president. He's just a younger Joe Biden. He's not a neoliberal at ALL.
If anything, he's just representing the CA vibe here. Points for that, but no more than this.
Repressing. He's merely doing the minimum California demands of him.
Seriously, he's still fucking hated for blatantly throwing trans people under the bus, handing out with alt-right grifters, and finally acting like the rich scumbag everyone knew he was but no one quite had proof yet.
