I did not use one for years with no problems but now I'm paranoid and use one since it is up 24/7 now.

Yea I would test a large file and as soon as it buffers put a limit on quittorrent or something that could be reading and writing lots of data from those drives and see if that fixes the issue. I wish there was a better way.

Its a qbittorrent setting. you can set upload and download limits to turn on at specific times or when you want to by clicking the little speed dial.

So if you are not utilizing those harddrives for other uses such as torrents thn disregard.

I believe I have a very similar issue as you. It only occurs on remux/high bitrate 4k videos. Happens no matter the player etc. I currently fix this issue by putting on that limit qbit upload speed and everything plays fine then.

I am interested in what your solution is.

Hello All,

I am trying to run scrutiny via docker compose and I am running into an issue where nothing shows up on the wub UI. If anyone here has this working would love some ideas on what the issue could be.

as per there trouble shooting for this I followed those steps and here is the output

$ smartctl --scan
/dev/sda -d scsi # /dev/sda, SCSI device
/dev/sdb -d sat # /dev/sdb [SAT], ATA device
/dev/nvme0 -d nvme # /dev/nvme0, NVMe device
docker run -it --rm \
  -v /run/udev:/run/udev:ro \
  --cap-add SYS_RAWIO \
  --device=/dev/sda \
  --device=/dev/sdb \
  ghcr.io/analogj/scrutiny:master-collector smartctl --scan
/dev/sda -d scsi # /dev/sda, SCSI device
/dev/sdb -d sat # /dev/sdb [SAT], ATA device

So I think I am imputing the devices correctly.

I only really changed the port number for the web UI to 8090 from 8080 in there example as 8080 is taken. compose file

services:
  influxdb:
    image: influxdb:2.2
    ports:
      - '8086:8086'
    volumes:

  web:

    ports:
      - '8090:8090'
    volumes:
      - './config:/opt/scrutiny/config'
    environment:
      SCRUTINY_WEB_INFLUXDB_HOST: 'influxdb'
    depends_on:
      influxdb:
        condition: service_healthy
    healthcheck:
      test: ["CMD", "curl", "-f", "http://localhost:8090/api/health"]
      interval: 5s
      timeout: 10s
      retries: 20
      start_period: 10s

  collector:
    image: 'ghcr.io/analogj/scrutiny:master-collector'
    cap_add:
      - SYS_RAWIO
    volumes:
      - '/run/udev:/run/udev:ro'
    environment:
      COLLECTOR_API_ENDPOINT: 'http://web:8090/'
      COLLECTOR_HOST_ID: 'scrutiny-collector-hostname'
    depends_on:
      web:
        condition: service_healthy
    devices:
      - "/dev/sda"
      - "/dev/sdb"

everything appears to start and work and no errors in the terminal.

Thanks for the help.

just found out there is an "Experimental" setting for it to "Try to embed the lyrics to the track files when possible" setting have not tried it myself

So I self host all my music via Plex and for some artists and albums Plex (via Plex pass I believe) pulls lyrics and can show you like Spotify etc but some artists are not supported/popular. I found a couple apps that 'worked' to download lyrics but the best one was this https://github.com/tranxuanthang/lrcget

Just thought I would share for others who would want to do the same I have a large library and adding lyrics was not hard at all and found most out of the gate. If you have other solutions I would love to hear about them maybe they are better lol

It adds the file as same name in same folder that song is located

I would like to be able to give people an URL and have them be able to access my service.

Example I have overseerr currently funneled so when the go to url pcname.tail$$$$$.ts.net they are greeted with overseerr. But if I funneled another service at pcname.tail$$$$$.ts.net/immich for example it does nothing just blank loading but the url knows it should be Immich or another service (I can put the url pcname.tail$$$$$.ts.net/immich in the immich app and have it work). I have tried reversing them so I believe I can not set paths after .net..

Am I doing something wrong or is this not supported?

I use Plex (Plexamp) and I can not complain. I don't really access via the web browser however, I use the app for dedicated music playback.

Edit: So a solution I just found is that if I remove the second DNS from my router (1.1.1.1) then all traffic goes through adguard. This works but if I go on vacation and my parents are still home and this device dies or something then my mom will have no idea what to do...

Hello,

I have adguardhome running on a raspberry pi via docker compose. I once had tailscale installed on it but it has sense been uninstalled.

Using for example my phone when at home if it is on my tailnet the adguard works as intended and blocks ads trackers etc. But If at home and disconnected from my tailnet it does not go through adguard at all. So all my family members do not have the benefit of this and anything not on my tailnet. I would rather have it work for everyone and not sure how to fix or where I went wrong in the setup.

For the setup guide for adguard it says

AdGuard Home DNS server is listening on the following addresses: 127.0.0.1 172.18.0.2

So I added 172.18.0.2 to my /etc/systemd/resolved.conf file because before it had only DNS=127.0.0.1. This seems to have not worked unless I need to restart for it to take effect looks like this now

# Entries in this file show the compile time defaults. Local configuration
# should be created by either modifying this file, or by creating "drop-ins" in
# the resolved.conf.d/ subdirectory. The latter is generally recommended.
# Defaults can be restored by simply deleting this file and all drop-ins.
#
# Use 'systemd-analyze cat-config systemd/resolved.conf' to display the full config.
#
# See resolved.conf(5) for details.
