Unless you are detained, physically locked into handcuffs, you can tell any cop to eat your ass instead of emptying your pockets. They have no legal authority to ask this shit unless they arrest you under reasonable suspicions.

[–] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 110 points 3 days ago (5 children)

Unfortunately they aren’t legally obligated to eat your ass.

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 67 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Yet. Vote for me and I'll make it the law of the land.

[–] FartMaster69@lemmy.dbzer0.com 42 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Finally a politician who supports my interests.

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 20 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (1 children)

Cop 1: * Bang Bang Bang!

"We have a warrant to search the premises for contraband."

Homeowner: "Let me see that warrant. Ok seems in order."

*undoes belt, drops pants, assumes the position. "READY? START EATIN'!"

Cop 2: "This jobs got it's ups and downs that's for sure.

*eats ass with gusto

Cop 1: "Fucking perv!"

[–] hunkyburrito@lemmy.zip 24 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Is it bad that I interpreted the "bang bang bang" as Cop 1 shooting a gun at first

[–] aeternum@lemmy.blahaj.zone 21 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

i... just realised they WEREN'T shooting, because of your comment.

[–] Thedogdrinkscoffee@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 days ago

Normal if you are an American.

[–] X@piefed.world 5 points 3 days ago

Doing the work of the people, you got my vote.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 8 points 3 days ago

We should add that change in with all the other police reformation that should happen.

[–] bobs_monkey@lemmy.zip 3 points 3 days ago (2 children)

You could always hand them a spoon, but your results may vary

This is a great way to get detained, physically locked into handcuffs and not being able anymore to tell any cop to eat your ass.

[–] Wren@lemmy.today 15 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Not in Canada, depending on how white and employed you look.

"reasonable suspicion": telling the cop to eat your ass 😅

[–] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (4 children)

Correct me if im wrong. Doesnt the USA has freedoms of speech? You can actually tell a cop to eat your ass without consequence unless the cop is a smooth-brain dipshit.

[–] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 29 points 3 days ago (1 children)

unless the cop is a smooth-brain dipshit

Believe or not, this is a requirement to become a cop

[–] affenlehrer@feddit.org 6 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Believe or not, jail, right away. We have the best patients in the world because of jail.

[–] Venat0r@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

yeah that's why I put it in the quotation marks. Just because it's a cops job to enforce the law, doesn't mean they know the law 😅

Let me guess, you're from the US?

[–] BaroqueInMind@piefed.social 5 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Ah damn I stand corrected. You didn't say where you're from and just explained as if it were universally true everywhere. Kind of a US-Defaultism thing.

[–] FishFace@piefed.social 10 points 2 days ago

Let's not make such sweeping generalisations.

For example, in the UK, the police have the legal power to search you if the have reasonable grounds to suspect that you have something on you in a few categories, like drugs. There are even (yet more controversial) powers to search people just because they're in a specific area (though there are restrictions on why an area can be so designated). You don't need to be arrested or handcuffed for this, although you might be.

When the officer asks you to empty your pockets, you say "no thanks".

Unless you live in the authoritarian states of America

[–] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 25 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Or in Australia. Or anywhere in Europe where there are locally defined "high danger" areas where searches without a warrant are legal.

[–] Anivia@feddit.org 14 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Yep, in Germany every train station for example is considered a high danger area where police are allowed to search you without a reason

[–] starlinguk@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

We all know that the reason is usually "being a human of a funny colour" though.

[–] Tar_alcaran@sh.itjust.works 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Not a lot of wildlife needing rescue in high risk areas though.

[–] Noodle07@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I live in a high risk area and I need rescuing

stabs you with Fibonacci syringe

[–] anamethatisnt@sopuli.xyz 53 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Now I want an explanation of wildlife rescue and the stuff in the image.

[–] Bunbury@feddit.nl 14 points 2 days ago

While I do volunteer in the field of wildlife rescue I’m also pretty sure this is an AI generated image.

However from what I can make out I do have some possible explanations:

A knife: Useful for things like cutting netting or fishing line or anything else an animal may get tangled up in.

A syringe: we don’t really use those ourselves as we aren’t vets, but some of our animals require antibiotics fast (within 2 hours of injury). Also euthanasia is usually done using a syringe.

Trash: the rest looks like the kind of trash one may find stuck to an animal, lodged in its throat, etc. Or it could just be litter that one would pick up to keep the wildlife area clean.

[–] AlDente@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 days ago

Explanation: AI slop.

Check out the graduation marks on the syringe. It jumps from 5 subdivisions to 6. Also, I guess the number that follows 1 is also 1!?

[–] blimthepixie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 52 points 3 days ago (4 children)

Why's the syringe got two 1's on it?

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 30 points 2 days ago

That's a Fibonacci syringe.

[–] ChaoticNeutralCzech@feddit.org 20 points 2 days ago (2 children)

The screw/nail is also sus. Why such a short thread?

[–] Bunbury@feddit.nl 32 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Same as the logo on the plastic packaging. Pretty sure this image is AI generated. My only question is: why???

[–] mrgoosmoos@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 days ago

and the fastener heads on the knife are all fucked up

Yeah, the milliliters should be divided into 5 parts, not 6.

[–] blimthepixie@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Could be a hybrid?

A Scrail? Nrew?

[–] NeatNit@discuss.tchncs.de 20 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Everything else looks pretty real to me that that's a sign this might be AI

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Yup. Each number also has six lines between them. There's usually only four lines from what I've seen. One line = ⅕ ml, or 200 μL. Some thinner syringes will have markings for 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 ml. Those have one line for each ⅒ ml, but still only four lines between the numbered markers.

I feel like maybe this generated image was influenced by an image of a syringe with the half-ml markings, like in the picture below. Then there would be two markings starting with 1, and with 2, and so on. But the generation missed the ".5" part. 😅

collapsed inline media

[–] LumiNocta@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 days ago

To test the syringe for blockage? Idk

[–] pineapplelover@lemmy.dbzer0.com 24 points 3 days ago (1 children)

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You already messed up talking to the officer in the first place.

Unless you called the cops don't talk to them. There is literally nothing you can say without possibly incriminating yourself.

Life or death? Talk to save someone otherwise seriously shut up.

[–] OshaqHennessey@midwest.social 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Unless you called the cops don’t talk to them.

If you have a problem and call the police, now you have two problems.

[–] Doomsider@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

I tend to agree, but I have had a few times in my life I have. Obvious drunk driver, guy beating up his girlfriend, and two brothers shooting at each other in the trailer park.

[–] Tingle@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

GG this is ai shite, we engage with the enemy replying

[–] Microtonal_Banana@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 days ago

Looks like a crows nest.
