"nAtO iS A dEfEnsIVe tReATy" /s
Yes exactly. That's why it should've taken up a stronger deFeNsIvE response much ealier .
Ps @randomname Just saw you rEAllY lIkEd hiS uSe of cApItAls tOo. Lol
Please look up what a preemptive strike is.
I for one care less for an all out war on Russia. But I'd just be someone who'd be forced to fight in that war. No biggie. /s
Your literally started with " "nAtO iS A dEfEnsIVe tReATy" /s"..
Now, you take this one specific word, "preemptive strike", from the whole article without any context, and then make the whole ruzz agression only about yourself. As if Nato will be forcing you to fight, instead of YOU possibly defending your (way of) life , friends, neighbours and family against an ongoing proactive preemptive Ruzz hybrid agression. ^^
Here the quote from the article:
“We are studying everything . . . On cyber, we are kind of reactive. Being more aggressive or being proactive instead of reactive is something that we are thinking about,” said Dragone, who is chair of Nato’s military committee."
So being "proactive" while usually being reactive and being already many years in a non-provocated hybrid war is something entirely different then what you claim it to be.
Wow. State propaganda got you good. What good does my "(way of) life" do me if I'm lying dead in a trench, blown up by a drone?
Then don't die or learn to protect yourself. What are you even talking about?
For now there is only voluntary military draftings, and you can still migrate to a safer place, if you can find one.
So how do you plan on staying safe, if nobody would protect Europe? It's not like there is much choice in the end now is there? Sometimes you have to be realistic.
Great advice. Those millions dying in all the wars in world history should've just got gud, huh? /s
Mandatory military service
Not for long if Europe goes into open war with Russia. You can bet on that.
Will probably need to do that, yes. Still not a fan of uprooting my (and my family's) whole life.
Safe from what, exactly? From Russia? Russia doesn't plan on attacking Europe. And even if: it's not like capitalism is that much different if done in Russian.
Except that they ALREADY have attacked Europe, TWICE in the last decade. You are a delusional person, keep sucking up that Russian propaganda.
Fyi, Ukraine is in Europe.
Russia has also invaded NATO aligned airspace, cut infrastructure lines in the ocean, likely blew up a critical fuel pipeline, continues aggressive cyber warfare, bombed a railway in Poland, and pays for bots and misinformation campaigns and supports right wing fascism in the US and EU.
I.e. Europe has been under Russian attack for at least a decade now.
I don't really care arguing the semantics whether or not Ukraine counts as "Europe" (it sure didn't count as European before 2022).
Russia has no interest in attacking any EU country, then. 🙄
Yep, that says everything. Did the Russian bot run out of propaganda points?
If Ukraine is not in Europe, where the hell is it? Asia? LOL
It is in Europe, and always was in Europe, since the beginning of the European continent.
Discussions are so much easier to win if you're just ripping the complete context from a message, amirite? /s
Would you count Russia as European?
I'll repeat: Russia doesn't have any interest in attacking any EU country. Claiming they do is propaganda.
Then why tf did you ask the question? You asked I answered. Or did you forget that you asked? That would explain a lot.
Ukraine is full of Russian tanks.
Russia is also waging a hybrid warfare against NATO members, just read my previous comments, since you clearly haven't.
And how exactly does it help the west? I explained how your propaganda helps Russians.
Facts are that Russia is more and more aggressive towards Europe waging hybrid warfare. Trump is Putin's lackey. So what options does EU have to defend themselves?
Wait until Russian tanks attack and then start thinking about how to defend themselves?
Empty claims. Did you even go to school? Do you know how debating works? Did no one teach you to provide arguments for your claims?
Oooooh I am so scared of this russian bot. Go ahead, since you clearly have no valid arguments to defend your propagandist views, this is your only chance to feel like you've won and get my comments dismantling your propaganda deleted.
Ukraine is not in the EU. The common narrative is that Russia will invade Poland, the Baltic states or even central Europe. I don't believe that narrative. That doesn't make me a russian propagandist.
You mean that wikipedia article full of allegations? The one that also mentions the attacks on nordstream which were probably done by Ukraine?
I don't care enough for your tone to look up what you wrote. Russia has no interest in invading the EU, then.
Makes the population prepared for war with Russia.
Most of those are allegations. It can also be seen as retaliation against economic warfare. And I was referring to attack as in military warfare.
Europe can "defend itself" well enough already. Also: Europe's defense is not my concern. Europe's interests are different from mine.
Pick a fucking lane, you nonce.
i've agreed with this poster on a great many things in the past, and this seems to be them hyperfixating on the NATO chief's weird word choice. russia has been performing probing incursions into NATO member territories for months. they have been documented engaging in hybrid warfare as far west in the eurozone as Germany. this is not a pre-emptive strike. this is responding to russian violations of international law with limp wrists
Uh, the person you're responding to is wrong. Pretty much all (if not actually all, since Belarus is kinda hard to count, so if you count it as Russia as well then Belarus neighbour states don't all but) nations bordering Russia do have conscription.
We Finns never let go of ours and even Poland has only had like a 15 year break.
We're ready motherfuckers
What you mean is Russia won't launch an all-out offensive because it knows it would lose and possibly trigger nuclear holocaust. Which is why Russia is forced to attack in these cowardly ways of manipulating media, cutting undersea cables and even using terrorism to strike civilians.
There is even a Wikipedia article on rUsSiAn SaBoTaGe OpErAtIonS iN eUrOpE
