Burden of proof is on the accuser.
I can’t prove a negative, but he has stated multiple times that he is pro union.
Additionally, the 3rd party law firm that investigated the ex employee’s claims against LMG (the company) found that:
You should also note that the former employee never accused Linus Sebastian (the individual) of being a sex pest. Certain people lie about this constantly on the internet, and others believe it is true without verifying the facts
Having seen multiple videos of him ranting about unions, I find your claim laughable.
But wow, I wasn't aware that a law firm they paid said they did nothing wrong, that changes everything.
I‘ve watched a lot of LTT and WAN show. I do not recall him ever speaking out against unions. He only ever said, he‘d see it as a personal failure as an employer, if his employees felt the need to unionise. He wouldn’t try to stop them if they did though.
Yeah, I guess the accuser really should have been the one to pay tens of thousands to a third party right?
I’m fairly sure that nothing could change your mind at this point, but by all means keep spreading your misinformation.
Parasocial relationships are wild.
ad hominem much?
We investigated ourselves, and found nothing wrong.
Oh I'm sorry, let me fix that:
We paid someone to investigate us, and once our payment cleared, they found nothing wrong.
What alternative was there? This is such a disingenuous take.
You just claimed Linus was pro-union, when all of us have watched the videos of him ranting about his distain for unions and saying they're unnecessary.
Forgive me if I don't take your critique at face value.
Show me the proof where he said he is anti-union.
Dude, get real.
Do you think I saved the video titles and timestamps for his anti-union comments?
I watched his content religiously for years, and it looks like you still do, which means I know you're lying.
But I definitely don't care enough about this to spend the next 8 hours digging through his old videos to find the various clips just to prove it to you on Lemmy.
Tell you what though, if you go find me proof of his pro-union stance, I'll be happy to take that into consideration.
For all anyone knows reading your comments you are either fabricating or twisting something said to fit your narrative. If you can’t or won’t find a source for your claims, that is totally fine, but I’m calling bs on those claims.
Does that also apply to your claims that he's pro-union?
Yeah, burden of proof is on me there.
If I felt like this was a genuine discussion, I might try to dig up clips of him talking about it, but at this point I feel like I’d just be talking to a wall.
You probably would be, because again, I have seen him on multiple different videos making anti-union comments.
But, depending on how vocally he was supportive of unions in any clips you showed, I could be persuaded to think better of him.
But it would be insane for you to spend hours of your life digging them up for that purpose, which is good for you because I don't think they even exist, so I'm giving you an out to pretend that they do.

11 hours of silence after this one lol, I guess even with proof they just didn't want to change their mind
Or they are busy or they dont feel like they have anything more to say
I've found many people don't feel like they have anything more to say after being proven wrong, so fair enough
The playbook is generally to move the goalposts afterwards, but I’ve been surprised on Lemmy before so who knows? It takes a lot more energy to refute someone’s claims than it does to make them, so if a discussion is happening in bad faith it’s really not worth having.
The burden of proof is on the party making a positive claim. This is true when in a debate, or maybe a professional setting.
But this is the internet. No one owes you anything here, besides, Linus Sebastian's statements are generally known. And often he directly contradicts himself from show to show.
Apparently not based on your comments. Another explanation is that certain individuals know the facts, but twist the truth in an effort to manipulate others.
Ah. You're that guy I'd been expecting to hit this thread. Ya know you can still like his content without trying to tell other people they are completely wrong about a thing they've clearly thought about more than a little.
Other than attacking me, what is the point of you commenting?
That "attack" was actually a gentle suggestion. You can just like LTT. You can ignore all the people who don't.
