Can anyone confirm, were these illegal deployments? That is to say, as there was no actual local emergency to which the National Guard could legally be deployed, is it therefore the case that these orders for deployment were illegal? National Guard members are also guided by the code of military justice, and expected to not comply with illegal orders, I think. So as the head of the military, Trump gave illegal orders, which resulted in the death of at least one National Guard member, so Trump is responsible for the injury and death of at least one. Regardless of whether this is legally the case, I think it's important to hammer the message that this death, and indeed many others as well, is Donald J. Trump's responsibility. We should never let him weasel out of this.
Judge rules Trump’s DC National Guard deployment was illegal - POLITICO https://share.google/drgPRPfbvJQwEthBs
So this should be a warning to all National Guard; Trump is using the Nat.Guard as targets in his attempts to take and maintain control. Do not obey illegal orders if you value your health, welfare, and life, or you may suffer the consequences in either the short term, or later on when your actions bring you to court.
