Good for them. However, pay to win being removed is just not enough for me to play that game again.

There's EOC which somehow makes for more boring combat than the old school combat.

But mostly, it's just so incredibly overfilled with shiny, blinking crap. There is no "empty" places left, no where that just looks normal. Everywhere has fucking portals to other realms, pools of energy or wisps or whatever the fuck, or literal fucking gods just hanging out. It just feels so incredibly claustrophibic to play, like everything everywhere is trying to get your attention and placed as close as a horder's stash. It's like if ADHD was a video game perpetually on cocaine. Just walking around from town to town feels exhausting because of the amount of shit on your way.

Hmm, never thought about it that way. I tried it out again after years (started in Runescape Classic) and it felt a bit off to me. I think you captured the feeling logging in again gave me.
