Thank you. I was wrong. democrats are occasionally willing to use the filibuster instead of just letting republicans use it to block things democrats ran on but never had any intention of passing. Now, how many times did republicans use the filibuster during biden's first 9 months in office?
I don't know, because filibusters are also an implicit threat. Plenty of bills from both parties never even come to vote because both sides know they will be filibustered.
When the majority allows a successful filibuster vote like those above, it's because the majority wanted to put the minority "on the record", for example as pro-trans.
And how many times did that happen during the first 9 months of the biden administration?
